We had to create the communication for a motion graphics film festival at Cinema Zuid.
Our idea: since it’s a MOTION graphics film festival, we wanted to show that motion.
But instead of suggesting the motion in the poster itself, we put the motion in the audience, the spectators of the posters.
Therefore, we created an installation that would be hung in the entrance hall of Cinema Zuid.
This installation would be based on the artists of whom the movies would played that night.
Each artist would have his or her ‘block’ in the installation. The size would depend on the length of their movie.
On the posters, we showed this installation. We made a different poster for every artist and we randomly turned the typography around, with the intention to literally make the audience move themselves.
We also made flyers, that would be spread out in Antwerp at design schools and design offices, our target audience.
The flyer closed, was a section of the poster, enlarged.
If you opened the flyer once, you got the image of the installation, with every name of every artist on the installation.
If you fold it completely open, you get a little more information about every artist.
The website would work in the exact same way.
